Plant-for-the-Planet Delegation at COP 30 in Belém |

From November 10 to 21, 2025, COP 30 will take place in Belém, Brazil. Plant-for-the-Planet will accompany the conference with a delegation on site and is available to journalists for interviews, expert assessments, and background information. The forest and youth initiative Plant-for-the-Planet will particularly monitor developments around the Tropical Forest Forever Facility (TFFF) and advocate for strengthening the rights of children and young people in the climate crisis. |

| Jule Schnakenberg has been a Climate Justice Ambassador with Plant-for-the-Planet since age 11 and is now the Policy and Advocacy Lead. As part of World’s Youth for Climate Justice she helped lead a historic youth-driven climate case at the International Court of Justice, advocating for state obligations to prevent climate harm and restore ecosystems. |

| Pakhi Das is a Public Policy Advisor at Plant-for-the-Planet. She is a conservation policy strategist with international experience in environmental governance, wildlife protection, and large-scale landscape management. She closely follows developments related to the TFFF, especially investment announcements. |

| Felix Finkbeiner founded Plant-for-the-Planet at the age of nine, inspiring thousands of children and young people worldwide to take action. Today, Felix leads international restoration programs, advocates for forest protection, and motivates young people to become active themselves. At COP 30, Felix will monitor developments around the TFFF and present tfffwatch.org, a platform developed by Plant-for-the-Planet. |

| Fatou Jeng is a youth climate and gender equality activist from the Gambia and the International Relationship Manager at Plant-for-the-Planet. She founded Clean Earth Gambia, empowering young people through education, reforestation, and climate action. A former UN Youth Advisor on Climate Change, Fatou aims to highlight the perspectives of young and future generations at COP 30. |

| Luciano Frontelle is the Executive Director of Plant-for-the-Planet Brazil. He has participated in several UN Climate Conferences, advocating for child- and youth-centered climate policies. For COP 30, Luciano co-initiated and led dialogues between children from the Global North and South. The insights gained feed into the Global Ethical Stocktake (GES) to amplify the voices and demands of children and youth. |

| Sagar Aryal is the Chief Technology Officer at Plant-for-the-Planet. He has been a climate advocate since 2006 and leads civil society policy engagement in the Global Environment Facility (GEF), advocating for greater direct finance to civil society, Indigenous Peoples, and local communities. His work focuses on strengthening local rights, leadership, and access to resources. |

| Johann Eickenbrock has been a Climate Justice Ambassador with Plant-for-the-Planet since 2014 and represented children’s and youth voices at COP 26 through COP 28. He empowers young people worldwide to stand up for climate justice, with a particular focus on climate finance and youth-driven solutions. Johann is currently pursuing his Master’s degree in Climate Science and Finance at Imperial College London. |

Together with partners, Plant-for-the-Planet will host side events at COP 30 focusing on children’s and youth rights, as well as forest protection. As in every year since 2013, the COP Chocolate will once again be distributed at the UN Climate Conference. It’s a symbolic gift carrying the message of children and youth to the delegates.
